Congratulations to the Class of 07’

In a recent graduation ceremony, St. Catherine of Siena Nursing Home, Smithtown, celebrated the achievements of the graduates of its first Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program. The program, in conjunction with Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Sayville, offers a free, nine-week training course that prepares students for employment in a variety of health care environments. Many of the graduates will stay on at St. Catherine’s as well as Good Samaritan and further pursue their goals as Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.

“St. Catherine’s Nursing Home is pleased to offer this evening training program and give community members an opportunity to pursue their desire for a career in health care, as well as an opportunity for employment,” said Nursing Home’s Senior Administrator Michael Quartararo.

New York State Senator John J. Flanagan attended the graduation to offer his congratulations, as well as words of support for the graduate’s choice to pursue a health care career. The graduates were also supported by their family and friends. For more information on upcoming training programs, please call (631)862-3900.
