Congratulations to the Class
of 07’
In a recent graduation ceremony, St. Catherine of Siena Nursing
Home, Smithtown, celebrated the achievements of the graduates
of its first Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program.
The program, in conjunction with Good Samaritan Nursing Home,
Sayville, offers a free, nine-week training course that prepares
students for employment in a variety of health care environments.
Many of the graduates will stay on at St. Catherine’s
as well as Good Samaritan and further pursue their goals as
Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.
“St. Catherine’s Nursing Home is pleased to offer
this evening training program and give community members an
opportunity to pursue their desire for a career in health
care, as well as an opportunity for employment,” said
Nursing Home’s Senior Administrator Michael Quartararo.
New York State Senator John J. Flanagan attended the graduation
to offer his congratulations, as well as words of support
for the graduate’s choice to pursue a health care career.
The graduates were also supported by their family and friends.
