Lutheran Quilters
The quilts were printed with bible verses on the inside labels
of the quilts to identify The Saint James Lutheran Piecemakers.
The quilts were created specifically for the Palliative Care
program to join in the dedicated mission, to bring care with
both comfort and dignity. Quilts are essential to the Palliative
care program. They provide comfort to a patient and later
can become an object of transition for the bereaved family,
preserving the memory of their loved one.
Maureen Feeley, RN and Palliative Care Program Coordinator
and Dorothy Raniolo, LMSW accepted the quilts. They gave the
St. James Lutheran Quilters a presentation about the nature
of the program and how beneficial the quilts will be to Palliative
Care patients.
