Smithtown, New York - Women have special
health care requirements. To meet those needs, St. Catherine
is offering advanced, comprehensive and compassionate care
in its new Women’s Health and Outpatient Diagnostic
Pavilion.
This one-stop shopping offers women a variety of services
in a personal setting. From the moment women drive to the
hospital’s convenient Smithtown setting and park in
its free, dedicated lot, they will immediately experience
the ultimate in customer service as they enter the beautifully
appointed center through a private entrance.
Here, women will find comprehensive diagnostic services such
as breast MRI and breast MRI biopsy, breast ultrasound, fine
needle aspiration, glactogram, high-quality digital mammogram,
needle localization, sterotactic core breast biopsy, sentinel
lymph node biopsy, ultrasound guided cyst aspiration, ultrasound
guided needle biopsy and bone densitometry.
For added support, there is a breast health navigator (a
registered nurse) available to help guide patients through
any diagnostic treatment. The breast health navigator, along
with a physician, can help schedule appointments and can address
any questions or concerns.
In addition, other diagnostic technology including CT and
MRI is available in the pavilion.
