St. Catherine’s Spring
Gala Honors Medical Staff
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center will honor its physicians
at their Fifth Annual Spring Gala, to be held on April 29th
at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch Hotel, Hauppauge. The proceeds
from the Gala will be earmarked for the expansion of the Cardiac
Catheterization Laboratory.
“In honoring our Medical Staff we are acknowledging
their steadfast commitment to the practice of medicine at
St. Catherine’s,” said Vincent DiRubbio, President
and CEO of St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center. He continued,
“There are nearly 700 physicians on staff here at St.
Catherine’s, and each and every doctor is dedicated
to providing the highest level of healthcare to their patients.
They represent nearly 60 medical and surgical specialties,
as well as subspecialty areas. The Medical Staff provides
an indispensable, life saving service to the community, and
is held in the highest esteem by St. Catherine’s board
of trustees, administration, nurses, staff and patients. We
are truly delighted to be able to honor The Medical Staff
at this year’s Gala.”
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit
organization, and in keeping with its charitable purpose,
all proceeds from this event will benefit the expansion of
the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The expanded Cardiac
Catheterization Laboratory will enable St. Catherine’s
to respond to the growing demand for highly specialized cardiac
services, including diagnosing and treating coronary artery
disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure.
A committee of physicians’ spouses and staff are busy
at work putting the finishing touches on the Gala. Local merchants
are being asked to donate gift certificates and merchandise
for inclusion in themed baskets that will be raffled at the
Gala. The Grand Raffle Prize will be a diamond and platinum
necklace from Tiffany and Company, valued at $5,000. And a
Scroll of Honor, which will contain a listing of Gala sponsors
and supporters is being prepared and will be presented to
The Medical Staff at the Gala.
It is anticipated that four hundred physicians and their
spouses, executives, vendors, elected officials and friends
of St. Catherine’s will attend the April 29th Spring
